Phalaenopsis Happy Girl is still going strong, blooming since May 22nd with no sign of slowing down. It's just amazing how long these blooms can last without wilting, I don't know how she does it. The bloom scape gets heavy too, so I decide to provide some support so the plant doesn't get stressed...

So many blooms!
In this tray Cattleya 'Summer Spot Carmela', Cattleya 'Hawaiian Passion Carmela', and Tolumnia 'Tequila Sunrise' are looking healthy. This is a big relief....
...because I accidentally fertilized them with regular water and "Algoflash" fertilizer. See the mineralization on the rocks? That's evidence of my crime, lesson learned to always mark the distilled water jugs that I use for other things after they're empty. D'oh!
This nice mounted Oncidium Aliceara 'Alice' is growing well...
...I find the mounted orchids easiest to care for without over-watering. Just soak in a shallow dish of distilled water once a week or so.

Same for Brassavola nodosa, fragrant Lady of the Night orchid. She's pretty much doubled in size since I got her. For some reason I'm having trouble finding info on what to do when a mounted orchid out-grows its mount, but I presume you just mount the mount to a bigger mount. I'll formulate a plan soon and we'll see what happens.
Maxillaria Tenuifolia on driftwood is doing okay, but the wood doesn't hold water well so I water it up to twice a week (depending upon the humidity in the room.) Cymbidium 'Suzie Q' is nearby, and gets Max's runoff for water. Suzie has new growth as does Max, so I'm content with the results so far...
...although blooms are the ultimate prize. All in good time, as they say.

Your orchids look great!! Looks like you've got it figured out with those plants too! Did I tell you that mom unloaded all her orchids? She's gotten rid of everything except her African Violets (yet another plant I can't grow).

Thank you! Why did she dump her orchids? I really like mine, although they would be hard to care for if I were planning to travel for weeks at a time.
She was just tired I think. She's found new homes for most all of her plants now. She was really sad that I didn't agree to take more of them.

My mom s getting to the age that she'd rather not "have to bother" with so many plants. I hope I never feel that way.
